Trendy Douchebag

Oh so you want to be hip do ya? Well keep on using that stupid term metrosexual and you'll be an instant hit. Right, South Park already gave the shit its justice, but really, I'm already fucking sick and tired of reading the word. Every fucking mag that wants to draw in more dumb downed readers is using it. My god, why does everything always have to turn into a bandwagon? It's like when everyone thought "show me the money" was the funniest fucking thing ever (I was ponering earlier today how sad it truly was that a TV show called Show Me The Funny actually had a brief existence). And if that wasn't the rat's ass, who could fucking forget "You are the weakest link, goodbye!"? Jesus, people are such sheep.

Am I better than that? You're damn right I am. This kind of bullshit always instantly annoys me, so by default I'm going to hate it. But sure, whatever gets readers in. Let's report on metrosexuals because Spin and MTV do it. Why follow in the footsteps of two of the largest shitpiles known to pop culture? Oh, I know why. Because they can show you the money. Ha!

All right, just drop a an anvil on my head now.

Give 'Em What They Want

This guy is a good reason why I can't stand Radiohead apart from their boring music. Well, not just this guy in particular, but that retarded kind of blind faith and creaming his jeans mentality that so many of the fans embrace. Give it up, sonny. That album was as big of a shit tank as the rest of em.

It's True? We're Really Back? Holy Shit!

Yes, yes, Echo From Esoterica finally returns in glorious blazing full color for January. Not that we've ever been colorless. Off-color, perhaps. We do plan on doing some remodeling as the site so obnoxiously noted for a couple months there on the front page, but that will come in time. I needed to get the machine running again and get new shit back online, as people kept asking about it. This month, there's our Best of 2003 list, interviews feautring Danish artist Balder Olrik and groovy band The Color Bars, music reviews, natch, and Patti Rothberg, natch. It's nice to still be around. So have a look at our new wares, won't you?
